The meaning of a Diety within the Physical Universe

Many religions postulate specific and general Attributes that apply to a Diety or to a higher level of awareness. 

Proposition: 


In light of modern physics and increasing perception that there is more "out there" than secular society has previously believed. I propose that the "Divine Attributes" are key to understanding the difference between an impersonal Universe controlled by objective Laws vs a created, guided, or super-existent Universe that supplies purpose and direction through inspired Laws.
